Nothing merges SUMMER and CHRISTMAS together quite like a trip to Santa's Workshop at the North Pole. Most of us owe a lot of our childhood to days spent here, especially right before Christmas and at the beginning of each summer. As a teenager, this is where Jason found his first job. Brandon's son works here today, and loves it. We were thrilled to help restore this treasured landmark into it's former glory. As if reliving the nostalgia wasn't rewarding enough, this was hands down the most custom and unique roofing experiences we've shared as a team.
Santa's Workshop at the North Pole is one of Colorado's most iconic attractions for locals and visitors alike. Nestled at the foot of Pikes Peak, the North Pole endures plenty of snow, wind and erratic weather conditions that Colorado is so well known for. On site, you'll find dozens of custom built structures, each one unique to itself and with a roof unlike any others. We were met with many challenges. The roofing system required many late nights and after hours shifts in order to not disrupt the business operations and for the safety of staff and customers. Rain or shine (or snow in this case), we loaded palettes onto skid loaders and traveled up the steep mountainside during the worst of weather. Sometimes our only light sources were portable units and everything was covered in a sheet of ice.
We couldn't be happier with how it all turned out and are grateful for the opportunity to revisit a childhood jaunt and preserve future positive experiences to a newer generation. If you've never been to the North Pole, you should plan a trip up sometime. Make sure to look up, and check out the roofing system. Let us know what you think!
